Right now, I am on duty at the SPB Operation Room. Hey Deb, is that cool or what? Student Publication Board with our very own room with PC, seats, shelves, drinks... ahhh, bliss! :-) Hahaha, just imagine if we had had such privileges in highschool with our own rooms and all. Well, anyway, nothing better to do, so I decided to blog.

Strangely enough, us poor sods here in MMU have been doing nothing but pondering about all the injustice in this world. Now is that sadly depressing or what? Deb, next to your flourishing adventurous life there in Calvin, our lives here are pretty much depressive being oppressed by bureaucracy as well as those authoritarian and draconian not to mention arcane system.
One good example: Our unit (pre-U sods under this misguided glamourous name, Alpha FCM) is organizing this Pre-U Nite... pretty good activity in my opinion (reminds me of those good ol' MGM of ours), good theme as well, CarpeNoctem which translates to a cool "Seize the Night". However, sadly to say, those involved in this big posse of arcane, bureaucratic organizing committee lack the most important ingredient in every form of organization: Professionalism. Period.
Lack of transparency in the things that they set out to do, so there you go, we have totally no idea what the whole thing is about except the fact we have to pay quite an amount of moolah. Great!
We are literally forced to pay regardless to the fact if we are going or not. And there is this whole controversial issue that emerged from the normally dark, murky depths of bureaucracy (which in a way or two, involves yours truly). I have suddenly realised the whole clarity after a while being in this place. It's like a bright light coming to me, some sort of revelation that transcended me into a certain enlightenment. The people here (in general, but not all) fear anything that is anywhere near the word "controversy". They try so hard to push, shove, and kick away the reality of life that is, it *is* controversial in the first place. Not overly controversial issues that immediately stamp you as the radical freedom fighter, but daily issues that come to us but we rather not meddle with because of the fear of being the "outcast" of common conformity.
Sigh... I mean, WTF? What is the world coming to? The next thing we know, we are living in mediocrity where others dictate the things we live by, the principles we stand for, and get sucked into this big vicious machine of CONFORMITY. Sigh, do I sound bitter now or what?
Leng, you do understand what I mean... afterall, I am just your number two i.e. following suit in this big brouhaha. History repeating itself. Interesting adage.
The only consolation I can offer myself? The hottest topic of conversation going around now does involve my Yahoo! nickname phi2three and the growing interest of certain people to know my identity. But wait the minute, doesn't that mean I AM FAMOUS? :-)
So there you go, the unsung heroes who defies conformity (how many times have I used this word?!?!)... Conclusion? We will live by the words of the Great Julius Caesar: Veni, Vedi, Vinci. A thorn among the roses, but still, we will prevail and exist among the common people, questioning the injustice once in a while.

Lately, I find myself constantly pondering about the life circle, its purposes and such. It was much prominent yesterday because of an accident which happened near my house.
Ah well.
Life is so fragile. A never ending journey of self discovery.
Recently, I realised that I love taking evening walks around the campus. Just quiet, silent strolls alone and thinking about nothing but the awe-inspiring, beautiful surroundings. This evening, I managed to watch one of the most beautiful sunset. Doesn't it just make you forget all your worries in the world? Sighh.... truly indescribable!

One page to read. Three post-high-school girls. Unlimited topics to talk about. This is what brings the girls together, no matter the distance. They speak their mind and occasionally rant and share about life, music, college, technological jargons, socials, bad spelling and recipes.
Deb Lim http://thirdtimearound.blogspot.com
Currently residing in Grand Rapids, MI and studying some complex sounding course in Calvin College, USA. English Guru, but alas, her spelling often contradicts this fact. Nutty ever since her brain was messed up by Sze. Reads literature. Inspiring person to be with. Often incoherent yet thinks that this is a way of being creative. Perhaps she's right. You tell her.
Leng aka Jedariel
Quiet and introvert may be how she appears to most, but this is the ultimate trivia queen who rants relentlessly on well... trivial info. Rock music lover. Matrix-o-holic. Reads fantasy. Prim and proper. She thinks she is evil, but let's not believe her. Ask her just about anything in this world, and she still has an answer for you. Currently pursuing her digital design dreams in MMU.
Sze Ying http://szync.port5.com Non-conformist - or so she thinks. Designer wannabe and pseudo geek. Gung-ho but world class procrastinator and lazy bum. Jazz lover. Talks endlessly. Often corrects Deb's spelling on purpose to irk her. Used to sit next to Deb and messed up her brain. Needs moolah desperately. Be kind to her and hire her for any graphics job. Currently studying to be an animator.
