Yo ppl!
one. Sze hasn't told me anything about anything, specifically, Toronto and the outcome...
two. Deb the non-IT fluentale doen't see any new layout, no offense to the new layout-maker...just that I'm still anti-computer knowledge after a semester of hardcore 0101001010 and the like.
three. Leng, have you seen the LOTR??? i've herad good reviews of it, but what's it compared to the book? nobody can beat Tolkein...
four. Sze, how'd enjoy the cold...snow..did you bring boots, gloves, coat, etc?
five. I'm addcited to hot chocalate...which i do not drink as often as i should be b cos of the cold.
six. Leng...what's happening at your end?
seven. how do you like this tying out the numbers instead of just digits?
eight. ok....i'm a bit nuts

Woo.. I thought our stuff would be gone for good when Blogger was down yesterday.. but now the pictures aren't showing up because Sze's web space provider is down. :/
Should be heading off to Cameron Highlands in two days.. and skipping classes on Monday. I really need to go somewhere.. and it's never fun to start the new year with a dull look on my face while in uni.
Happy New Year. :Þ

Finally! Okay Leng, you did a great job, I should had realised the placing of the columns earlier! Darn you are the HTML master now. Hail Master!
Anyway, now that the column is not so skinny, could you then make it lower? :) heheheeh...
Merry Christmas everyone! And a Happy New Year.

Oh gawd.. I must have took like 3 freakin hours trying to work the side bar up.. it seems to work for the moment. I hope. If it doesn't.. *#$(*@&$*(# ahem. Heh. :) With Sze's permission, I have actually applied quite a number of changes into her layout.. but I hope she wouldn't mind so much to the extent that she would set herself after me. :D

It's a brand new design! :) How about that? Just hours before I leave the hot country for the bone-chilling experience in Toronto, Canada... I am totally nonchalant about the prospect I was pretty excited about just a few days ago. Yes, I am totally bored and don't feel any excitement at all. Sigh. :-/ Mid-life crisis is catching up I guess.
Anyhow, tell me what you think about the new design, and thanks to Leng (she promised me that she would fix the spacing of the left-most column. I hope it's alright by the time you look at it.

You are pretty frantic in your posts Deb. Anyhow anyhow, to briefly sum up things, debating in Uni level and highschool level are two worlds altogether. Not wanting to dwell too long in this subject (ask Leng how long - and boring - it can be sometimes), basically, there are three debating styles - Asians (same as highschool's - three to a team, speeches with POIs), AustralAsians (three to a team, 8-min speech with no POIs) and lastly British Parliamentary - for Worlds (two to a team, 4 teams each debate, 7-min speech with POIs). Students are debaters as well as adjudicators in tournaments (Lecturers/trainers can be adjudicators as well, but not debaters). Usually, to make sure that adjudication is given priority and emphasis as well, tournaments adopt an n-1 rule i.e. for every n debating teams, you must send n-1 adjudicators or more. :)
Speaking of exams and GPAs and CGPAs, you should be happy with what you get - regardless of high or low - as long as you realise that you have put in the same amount of effort before examinations. I personally don't give a rat's ass over what I get but it's just a beautiful feeling whenever my scores are in the range of 1st class/2nd upper. 3.9 is a good point. My GPA for my 2nd trimester is wayyyy better than my 1st. I am just glad with what I get.
I haven't watched LOTR yet. I am thinking of tomorrow. Would anyone care to join me for a movie tomorrow? Leng? A second perhaps? ;)
Sze, are you going to stop by in US? tell me!

MY SELLLLLLLLLFFF!! dhu...pretty doofus eh???
anyhow, my 1st semester is officailly over (grades out and everything) actually, it was officailly over( by the declaration of the academia (pretty cool words eh?) a few weeks ago, my own declaration a wekk after the school's (cause of all the exams rush) and now, again i declare it over...cause i am free from the bonfdage of grade worry....i did pretty good...but i don't know why i didn't feel good/satisfied about it. i felt really weird...it was the 1st time i got a good grade and was not estatic about it...maybe someone is trying to tell me that life is not about grades alone...i know that , but to live it, thta'll be a big adjustment for me....i just feel all weird and low.
i got a 3.9 and when i found out, i felt the way l'd usually feel over a D or E. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH ME???? seriously, what do you think? i felt awful...

Sze, tell me all about this debate thingey in your school..i'm quite lost when you talk about it...what's a adjuricator do and how they picked? i thought adjutiators are judges.....yes, i have not forgotten about how to debte adn the rules...but if you are one, then they'll be a lot more rihgt? and i think it's super duper cool to be a ble to judge....why's that not as good as debating then? omigosh...sze, i wish i could be there with you!
1st exciting event.

One page to read. Three post-high-school girls. Unlimited topics to talk about. This is what brings the girls together, no matter the distance. They speak their mind and occasionally rant and share about life, music, college, technological jargons, socials, bad spelling and recipes.
Deb Lim http://thirdtimearound.blogspot.com
Currently residing in Grand Rapids, MI and studying some complex sounding course in Calvin College, USA. English Guru, but alas, her spelling often contradicts this fact. Nutty ever since her brain was messed up by Sze. Reads literature. Inspiring person to be with. Often incoherent yet thinks that this is a way of being creative. Perhaps she's right. You tell her.
Leng aka Jedariel
Quiet and introvert may be how she appears to most, but this is the ultimate trivia queen who rants relentlessly on well... trivial info. Rock music lover. Matrix-o-holic. Reads fantasy. Prim and proper. She thinks she is evil, but let's not believe her. Ask her just about anything in this world, and she still has an answer for you. Currently pursuing her digital design dreams in MMU.
Sze Ying http://szync.port5.com Non-conformist - or so she thinks. Designer wannabe and pseudo geek. Gung-ho but world class procrastinator and lazy bum. Jazz lover. Talks endlessly. Often corrects Deb's spelling on purpose to irk her. Used to sit next to Deb and messed up her brain. Needs moolah desperately. Be kind to her and hire her for any graphics job. Currently studying to be an animator.
